Description: Michigan State University won the Miss Big Ten competition in 1953, so Miss MSU rode as Miss Big Ten in the Rose Bowl Parade in 1954. The float features two statures of Sparty and books with key words about Michigan, "Industry," "Vacationland," and "Agriculture." The float also features Michigan's state motto, "Michigan . . . Water Wonderland."
