The text on the back reads: "Dear Mrs. Whitemore, It was nearly 5:30 when I finished work and too late to call and get back in time to be in by 6 o'clock. I have Friday vacant after four and would like to come then. I'm so sorry everything turned out so badly. -Grace Clark"
