Description: A man kneels by a tree, possibly to carve into the bark of the tree, circa 1888. Carved initials can be seen on other parts of the tree trunk. The image is from a photo album created by MAC student, Edward J. Frost. He made the prints from negatives he borrowed from MAC Professor Rolla C. Carpenter.
